Our commitment

TokDown is a tool that reads publicly available TikTok URLs and surfaces the download formats a post exposes. We do not host, store, cache, or distribute the underlying video, audio, or image files. The files are delivered from the source infrastructure, not from our servers.

When to send a notice

If you are a rights holder (or their authorised agent) and you believe this website’s content or functionality is being used to infringe your copyright, you may send us a notice using the details below.

Required elements of a valid notice

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
  2. The exact public URL(s) involved, so we can locate the material.
  3. Your name, organisation, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent, or the law.
  5. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act on their behalf.
  6. Your physical or electronic signature.

How to submit

Email the notice to [email protected] with the subject line “DMCA notice”, or send it through the contact page.

What happens next

On receipt of a complete notice we review it and, where appropriate, disable the specific functionality or remove the specific reference identified. We may forward the notice (including your contact details) to the party responsible for the material.

Counter-notifications

If you believe material was disabled in error, you may send a counter-notification containing your contact details, identification of the material, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake, and your consent to jurisdiction in your district.

Misrepresentation

Under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, a person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing — or was removed by mistake — may be liable for damages.

Repeat infringers

We will, in appropriate circumstances, restrict or block access for users who repeatedly misuse this tool to infringe copyright.
