What it can't do

Tap Share on the post, then Copy link. Do not use "Save video" — that gives you the watermarked copy.

Why the browser beats an app here
Downloader apps on iOS have a habit of demanding photo-library access, showing full-screen ads, or asking you to sign in with an account that has nothing to do with downloading a video. A web page cannot reach your photo library or your Apple ID at all — it can only hand a file to Safari, which then asks you where to put it.
Where the file ends up
Safari saves downloads into Files ▸ On My iPhone ▸ Downloads by default. To get a video into your camera roll, open it from Files, tap the Share icon, and choose Save Video — iOS copies it into Photos from there.
