The app's Share sheet gives you a short link like vm.tiktok.com/ZMxxxxx or vt.tiktok.com/ZSxxxxx. The web player gives you the long form, tiktok.com/@username/video/1234567890. Copying from a browser often appends ?is_from_webapp=1 and similar tracking parameters. All of these point at the same post and all of them work here — there is nothing to trim by hand.
Getting a link you can actually use
In the app: tap Share, then Copy link. On the web: copy the URL from the address bar while the video is open. Avoid the app's "Save video" button — that produces a watermarked file rather than a link.
