Original sounds versus licensed music

A TikTok "sound" is either an original — recorded by the creator, a voiceover, a skit, a jingle — or a licensed commercial track from TikTok's music library. What TokDown saves is the audio stream attached to the specific post you paste, which is the version that post plays. It is worth knowing which of the two you are saving, because the rights are completely different.

TikTok sound pages (tiktok.com/music/...) are directories of videos, not media files. Open any video that uses the sound and copy that video's link instead.
