What is genuinely anonymous here
TokDown never asks for a TikTok login, so nothing you do is tied to a TikTok identity. Creators get no notification, no view attribution and no record that a download happened — TikTok does not expose that, and we could not send it even if we wanted to. You also do not need a TokDown account: the tool works fully signed out.
What we do record — stated plainly
We are not going to claim we log nothing, because that would be false. Like any website, our server sees your IP address, and we keep first-party usage analytics — page views, whether a download succeeded, approximate country from IP — to keep the service working and to block automated abuse. We do not sell it, we do not build advertising profiles, and we do not store the videos you download. Our Privacy Policy sets out exactly what is kept and for how long.

Will the creator know I downloaded their video?
No. TikTok does not surface download events to creators, and TokDown sends nothing to them.
Do you keep the videos I download?
No. Files stream to your browser and are never stored on our side.
Is this really anonymous?
Anonymous in the sense that matters here: no login, no profile, no notification to the creator. It is not a VPN — your IP still reaches our server, as it does with any website. The Privacy Policy has the specifics.
